nts, international workers are all welcome to join us every Monday evening (closed on holiday Mondays on a long weekend and for the months of Aug and Dec.) at Broadway Church in the lower Auditorium hall (enter from the side door on Slocan St.) Thousands of College-aged students have come through this program which has now been running for 20 years! The official program runs for 3.5 hours each week, from 5:30 pm to 9 pm, and consist of the following:

5:30 pm - Meet and Greet at our in-church Timbers Cafe for open talks and connecting with students and leaders
6:00 pm – A full Hot Dinner meal cooked by our very own ISC cooking team; often different international foods
7:00 pm - Conversation Club (a discussion about the English language, Canadian/Vancouver culture, special event or a fun ice-breaker game)
7:30 pm – Announcements/Music Sing-a-long time (with band)
8:00 pm - Table Discussion on a bible or life topic
8:35 pm – Wrap Up/Summary
9:00 pm – Official Closing but open Gym time for those who want to stay and play in the adjoining room (Volleyball, Basketball, Indoor Soccer, Badminton)

There is no cost to the program other than the $5.00 for dinner. We also do outdoor activities like hiking, biking, river rafting, softball, visiting sites around Vancouver (additional costs may apply for outside activities) and special seasonal programs, meals and big events during Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Canada Day BBQ, etc. Our program offers a variety of ways to meet other International Students who are also learning English and to practice your English skills with native English student speakers and leaders. Volunteer opportunities are also available during the program. Currently, we are running 12 big round tables with about 90 - 100 students, leaders and assistants. No pre-signup required and you are not required to belong to or attend our church on Sundays. ISC and Broadway church is a warm, friendly “home away from home” for all International Students!
