《觀經》是一部「奇特之經」，隱藏著一個只有佛才能揭示的大「秘
密」！《觀經》也是釋迦牟尼佛，在千載難遇的機緣下，帶有密意、隨自意
暢說「奇特之法」，為娑婆凡夫說往生無憂惱處 - 淨土，必成佛道之法。
《觀經》是佛弟子必讀、非讀不可的的一部大乘菩薩教的經典。
今次「觀經拾談」講座，淨普居士謹依淨土宗宗祖善導大師在《觀經
四帖疏》所立的、楷定古今的淨土要義而闡釋，完全站在釋迦牟尼佛一代時
教的高度看淨土法門。講座內容絕非個人的善解灼見，唯望與有緣念佛往生
人分享未聞之益，同生極樂，究竟解脫，南無阿彌陀佛！

The《 Contemplation Sutra》is an“extraordinary scripture,”concealing a profound“secret” that can only be revealed by the Buddha himself. It is also a discourse in which Shakyamuni Buddha, under exceedingly rare and auspicious circumstances, expounded an“extraordinary Dharma” imbued with deeper intent and spoken in accordance with his own enlightened wisdom. Through this teaching, he revealed to ordinary beings in the Saha World the path to rebirth in the Pure Land— a realm free from suffering and affliction— and the assured attainment of Buddhahood. The Contemplation Sutra is a Mahayana scripture of Bodhisattva teaching that every disciple of the Buddha ought to study and cannot afford to neglect.
In this lecture series, Reflections on the Contemplation Sutra, Lay Buddhist Jingpu respectfully bases his exposition on the essential principles of Pure Land Buddhism established by Master Shandao, the de facto founder of the Pure Land tradition, in his《Commentary on the Contemplation Sutra in Four Fascicles》. These principles have served as the authoritative standard for Pure Land thought throughout the ages. The lectures approach the Pure Land teaching entirely from the comprehensive perspective of Shakyamuni Buddha’s lifetime teachings. The content presented herein does not represent merely personal interpretations or speculative opinions. Rather, it is offered in the sincere hope of sharing previously unheard benefits with those who have the karmic affinity to recite the Buddha’s name and aspire for rebirth in the Pure Land, so that all may together be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss and ultimately attain liberation.
