As a new exciting project .outdoors picks up momentum and requires more attention, I have decided to put Atria on hold.

It has been an incredible couple of years learning about community systems and collaboration, and I am so grateful for all the volunteer efforts. What an experience! I will continue to stay involved in initiatives that support poverty reduction and pick Atria back up when the time is right. ✨

Before making this decision, I did loads of research on ESG. Have you heard this acronym before? ESG will have a significant impact on the corporate world and beyond. I wanted to share my ESG learnings in an article. The link is in my bio.

For the love,
Evan

is back! This week we highlight Firm Kongthong, Design Lead.

"One thing I appreciate about Firm is her honesty. She shares exactly what she is thinking. It takes courage to share ideas or constructive feedback with another leader. But when Firm does share, I always feel like it comes from a caring place in her heart. This is the culture I hope we all foster at Atria. Plus her genius goes well beyond design. Her ideas for Atria as a whole have helped form the organization. Thank you Firm!!!" -

We believe in the importance of sharing our vision with you. The 30-year strategic plan shows the different phases that Atria will go on to achieve our goal: A livable city for ALL Vancouverites. It does seem like a long way to go but Rome was not built in a day!

" Every Monday we'll celebrate a member of the Atria Cooperative for their generous support and contribution. This week we highlight Nolan Buchanan, Sponsorship Lead

"Nolan and I have known each other for almost two decades and worked together many times, from cleaning boats to recruiting engineers! I have always felt his compassion for humanity matched a drive for purpose. Nolan wants to make a difference in this world so naturally he resonated with Atria's vision. I'm grateful to have had Nolan supporting on people systems and now external outreach. Thank you for the difference you make, Nolan." - Evan Sidwell

Every Monday we'll celebrate a member of the Atria Cooperative for their generous support and contribution. This week we highlight Sarah Daniels, Design Lead

"On a random Tuesday, I met this amazing human who ever since has been one of my most trusted colleagues, confidants, guides through tough times, and a leg-pulling friend. If Sarah is on the job, I close my eyes as I know she can be relied upon with even the nuclear codes of a country. Anyone would be lucky to have Sarah on their team, and I am the luckiest of them all! Thank you 🙂" -

Every Monday we'll celebrate a member of the Atria Cooperative for their generous support and contribution. This week we highlight Rishabh Johri, Co-Founder

"I met Rishabh thanks to . Sam encouraged Atria to become a client project for a two-week-long design hackathon called Eunoia. Rishabh was Eunoia's cofounder. I got the sense that he had a big heart. There was kindness in his eyes. The hackathon, which included 192 participants, design workshops, team mentors, sponsors and judges, went exceptionally well. I was impressed! Luckily, Rishabh was graduating from the SFU School of Interactive Arts and Design and was ready for a new challenge. Since then, he has engaged his genius, his community and his time in Atria. Because of his care, investment, and passion for Atria, Rishabh has become a co-founder leading operations. So grateful for you man!" -

Every Monday we'll celebrate a member of the Atria Cooperative for their generous support and contribution. This week we highlight Reese Patterson, Platform Design Lead

"Reese saw one of the earliest presentations of Atria when I was first finding the courage to share. He joined ten other friends for a pitch night. Since then he has been a trusted support for me when I need to jam on ideas or go on a rant. For a few weeks now, Reese has been leading and mentoring two designers to create wireframes for the platform. Thanks for being you, Reese." - Evan Sidwell

These questions don't have easy answers. Unless you work in the poverty reduction sector, it can take days to answer them all. The lack of clarity blocks people from engaging. We need clarity to work together.

Every Monday we'll celebrate a member of the Atria Cooperative for their generous love and contribution. This week we highlight Kevin Barlow.

"I met Kevin at a Downtown Eastside event back in November and we hit it off. We would meet for coffee almost weekly talking about spirituality, social issues, and indigenous worldviews. Kevin shared about his relationship with Creator and how his prayers are primarily filled with gratitude instead of asking for things. Since then, I always thank God in my prayers. Kevin has become a close advisor and major support for Atria. He has made several introductions and always has us in the back of his mind. Couldn't do this without you, Kevin." - Evan Sidwell
