The Door Is Open

The Door Is Open Drop-in Centre at 255 Dunlevy Avenue, funded by Catholic Charities of Vancouver We do not receive any government funding.

Donations:

We are privately funded through individual donations but most of the funds are provided by the Catholic Charities of Vancouver. If you would like to contribute to The Door Is Open, please call the Archdiocese of Vancouver at (604) 683-0281 or mail a donation for The Door Is Open, care of RCAV, 48

At the recent AGM of St Vincent de Paul Society Sr Chita was overjoyed to meet Cheryl Andres. Cheryl is one of the group of three college students who obtained an OFY grant which they used to start a drop-in centre for the homeless in 1973! Catholic Charities later took responsibility for the centre when the students had to return to school, and here we are…..Heartfelt thanks to Cheryl and her friends for starting us on this great adventure!
