We are proud to present the Blanket Exercise — a powerful, experiential workshop.

Planned by Or Shalom’s Tikkun Olam Committee and brought to you in collaboration with Cityview Church, this program invites participants into an interactive experience that traces the history of pre-contact, treaty-making, colonization, and Indigenous resistance. Standing on blankets that represent the land, participants take on the roles of Indigenous peoples and walk through this history together with compassion and curiosity.

This event is open to the entire community. Families with teens (ages 12+) are especially encouraged to attend. It’s a unique opportunity to learn, reflect, and deepen our collective commitment to justice and reconciliation.

Entry is by donation. Contributions will help offset the cost of the program and support future offerings. (Above or below $20.00 would be great support.)

Join us for the inaugural Light in Winter concert at CityView on Saturday, March 29, featuring East Vancouver's very own Illiteratty! This eclectic folk band blends swing, European cabaret, ambient, Celtic, rockabilly, a ca****la, and world music, delivering sharp lyrics and up to five-part harmonies. With a lineup that includes guitar, mandolin, violin, accordion, stand-up bass, and percussion, Illiteratty’s music is intelligent, funny, and deeply varied.

Our artists have created amazing pieces to interpret the Stations of the Cross. Our sanctuary will be open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday on Easter weekend to allow you to walk the 14 stations and prayerfully meditate on the Passion of Jesus Christ. Set aside time for a special experience this Easter.
