Let’s look to the story of Ruth and Boaz to see how one can determine if they’ve met the right person to date and marry.
Before Ruth pursued Boaz, she talked to Naomi.
Before Boaz pursued Ruth, he asked people who knew her.
Both of them did something that’s rare today:
They let wise voices speak into their decisions.
Too many people are asking, “Do I like them?”
Not enough are asking, “What do the people I trust see that I don’t?”
Feelings can be real.
Attraction can be real.
But neither are a substitute for wisdom.
