It is our sad duty to report the passing of
Aslam Hayat
Born in Lahore Pakistan on March 23, 1933
Passed away in Vancouver on May 30, 2026
He arrived in Canada in 1989 and has long been a senior and respected community member for many decades…
He contributed to the community in many ways and served as a writer and columnist for the Miracle newspaper for nearly 20 years.
A devoted family man, Aslam Chaudhry generously gave his time & resources to his friends, family, community and Ummah with his whole heart and without hesitation.
His contributions will be remembered with respect and honour… We will miss him…
His Janazah prayer will be held immediately after Zuhr prayer at:
Monday June 1, 2026
1:30 pm after Zuhr Salaat
Surrey Al Jamea Masjid

Surrey, BC
Followed by Burial at:
Victory Memorial Park
14831 28 Ave Surrey BC.
May Allah SWT forgive, accept and place him in a beautiful place in Jannat il Firdouz - Paradise and give Sabr - Patience to his family and loved ones… 🙏💕
