Day 5: Your Pain Will Not Cancel His Purpose
After four days of walking through questions about blame, identity, faith, and surrender, we arrive at the place where everything holds together. God's purpose is not fragile. It does not collapse under the weight of your pain, your confusion, or your unanswered prayers. Your pain will not cancel His purpose. That is not a dismissal of what you are going through. It is a declaration about who God is. He is not scrambling to recover from your situation. He is not surprised by it. He was already working in it before you even knew it was coming.
Paul wrote from prison. Job spoke from the ash heap. The man born blind had never seen a sunrise. And yet, through each of them, God revealed something that a comfortable, pain-free life might never have shown. That is not cruelty. That is a God who wastes nothing. Some burdens are heavier than what one person can carry alone, and that is by design. The body of Christ exists to carry what individuals cannot. You were never meant to hold everything by yourself.
So today, hold on. Not because everything is fine, but because God is still God. His power has not diminished. His hand is not shortened. And even when things are not good, they are still working for your good. That is the promise. That is the anchor. And it is enough to keep going.
Bible Verse
"For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content." - 1 Timothy 6:7-8
Reflection Question
Looking back over this week, where have you seen evidence that God was working in your situation even before you recognized it?
Quote
"Your pain will not cancel his purpose."
Prayer
Father, thank You that my pain does not have the final word. Help me to trust that You are working all things together for my good, even the things I do not yet understand. Amen.
