A BIG thank you to everyone that was a blessing to the families we served yesterday in the midst of these 2020 Covid times.

Whether you made signs, collected winter wear, took pictures, made quilts and blankets, helped set up /cleanup, checked in guests or volunteers, took temps, directed cars, provided prayers, loaded cars with food, helped guests with finding winter wear, organized turkey distribution and even provided taxi rides for guests who couldn't drive, please know that you made a difference in someone's life.

Here are the preliminary stats for the day:

267 families provided with a turkey and Thanksgiving meal box
Over 700 boxes of cereal handed out
Over 1100 pieces of winter wear provided with the help of Maddies Mitten March
Almost all of the 206 quilts, 171 fleece blankets, 98 cuddle blankets and 10 afghans will be keeping someone warm
115 volunteers provided smiles and friendly waves

Prayers of thanks for all of you and wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving!

While the Clinic meets the physical needs of families in our community each year, the bigger impact is how our volunteers touch people's lives during the time they are with us. It is in holding a baby so that mom can look for clothing. It is in holding their hand while praying for them. It is in the smiles of a family as they get a professional family photo taken so that they have memories to look back on. And in the laughs shared together around the table with plates of warm food.

Even though the Clinic is a drive-thru event this year, volunteers will still touch the lives of each and every guest who visits to receive food and winter wear through friendly waves, warm "smile eyes", and generous hearts.

Our winter wear drive has started!! Please drop off donated items (coats, snow wear, and boots) to our bins outside all week from 8:30a-4:00p (And Oct 26th too)! Or drive-up and we will unload for you on Saturday from 9a-12p. Let's see how much we can collect and make a big impact in our community this season.

13/10/2020

Instead of collecting everyday clothing to distribute to families in need, we are collecting winter wear only this year and partnering with another non-profit called Maddie's Mitten March to distribute needed winter clothing items.

We are in need of new or gently used items for all ages. All donated items will then be given to Maddie's Mitten March to be cleaned and presented to families at the clinic in their buses which are outfitted to display all the items!

Donation bins will be available all week from Oct 19-23 and on Oct 26 from 9a-4p in front of Trinity (405 Rush St Roselle). On Oct 24 from 9a-12p you can drive up and we will unload your donated items for you.

Thank you for your donations!
