TEAM 2 - Day 5

Today was one of the most meaningful days of the week.

After days of cutting, hammering, painting, and building, we had the incredible privilege of dedicating this home to an amazing family and placing the keys in their hands.

We shared lunch together, laughed, prayed, and celebrated what God has done. Watching this family step into a home they can finally call their own is something none of us will ever forget. There were smiles, tears, and so much gratitude.

Before we left, we gathered around them to pray God's blessing over their family—that this house would be filled with peace, hope, joy, and the presence of Jesus for many years to come.

Moments like today remind us that we weren't just building a house. We were helping build a future.

What a beautiful way to end an unforgettable week. Thank you to everyone who prayed, gave, and made this possible. Your generosity has changed a family's life.

TEAM 2 – Day 4

Another great day in San Quintín.

Today we finished the house! Tomorrow we'll dedicate it and hand the keys over to the family. We spent the day building furniture, touching up paint, and taking care of all the little details that turn a house into a home.

One of the highlights was helping a mom across the road who is pregnant and raising three young kids. Her home had no windows, so we were able to cut in two new windows and install shutters. It was incredible to see natural light finally fill her home while still giving her the security to close everything up when needed.

Half of our team also led a VBS for kids in the community, while the rest wrapped up work on the build. We finished the day worshipping with another local church, where Pastor Shawn had the privilege of preaching again.

We're tired, grateful, and excited for tomorrow as we hand over the keys and celebrate what God has done this week.

TEAM 2 - Day 3 | San Quintín, Mexico

Another incredible day of seeing God at work!

We began the morning by dedicating a home that was funded by the generosity of Main Street Church and built by a team of local pastors. It was a beautiful picture of the Body of Christ working together, different churches, one mission, united in sharing the love of Jesus in practical ways.

After the dedication, we returned to our build site and made great progress. We finished the roof, trimmed the windows, and built furniture that will soon fill this house with life, laughter, and memories. Every task brings this family one step closer to having a safe place to call home.

We wrapped up the day by visiting a local church Pastor Shawn preached a message on the woman who touched Jesus robe highlighting how Jesus uses tests in our life to make us more like Him. It's been such a gift to partner with our brothers and sisters in Mexico and to see firsthand that the Church is so much bigger than any one congregation. Though we come from different places and speak different languages, we are one family in Christ.

Thank you for praying for our team and supporting this mission. Your generosity is helping provide more than homes, it is bringing hope, strengthening the local church, and pointing people to Jesus.

TEAM 2 - Day 2 | San Quintín House Build

Today our team watched this house come to life. We framed and raised the walls, built and sheeted the roof, and finished by painting the exterior. It's amazing how quickly a pile of lumber begins to look like a place a family can finally call home.

But we didn't just build a house, we invested in people.

Half of our team spent part of the day serving at a local church, leading a Vacation Bible School for children. Seeing their smiles, hearing their laughter, and sharing the love of Jesus reminded us that building God's Kingdom is about more than construction it's about people.

To wrap up the day, we shopped for groceries and household essentials for the families receiving these homes.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed, given, and supported this trip. You're helping make moments like this possible.

TEAM2: Day 1 in San Quintín, Mexico

What a great start to our house build!

Today was all hands on deck as our team jumped in cutting lumber, swinging hammers, painting, measuring, carrying materials, and doing whatever needed to be done.

This is so much more than building a house. It's building hope. It's showing the love of Jesus in a tangible way. In just a few short days, this house will become a home for a family, and we can't wait to hand them the keys.

We wrapped up the day with Pastor Shawn having the privilege of encouraging and equipping a group of local pastors, sharing practical and biblical principles on balancing life, family, and ministry. It was a meaningful time of investing in leaders who faithfully serve their communities every day.

Thank you to everyone who is praying for us and supporting this mission. We can't wait to share more of the story as it unfolds.

Final day in San Quintin! We had an amazing day of shopping for the house and officially dedicating it to them!

Thank you everyone for all of your prayers! Pray for us as we travel back to Chilliwack and pray for our second team that will be on their way to Mexico on Sunday!

Another jam-packed day and we’ve officially wrapped day four AND the construction of the house! We participated in another church service, did our last day of VBS, and had some delicious tacos!

Tomorrow we will have our key ceremony and hand the house officially over to the family we are blessing!
