Today we celebrate the hope, joy, and new life that come through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Resurrection Sunday reminds us that love is stronger than death and that through Him we are given the promise of new life.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Community Good Friday Breakfast this morning! It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to spend time together as a community.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our amazing volunteers who gave their time and energy to cook, serve, set up, and clean up. Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without your help!

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the generous donors who contributed food, supplies, and support to make this breakfast a success.

Your kindness and community spirit made the morning truly special. We are so grateful for everyone who helped make this event happen! ❤️

📢 Summer Job Opportunity – Cemetery Groundskeeper

Burnbrae Presbyterian Church is looking for someone to help care for our church cemetery and grounds for the 2026 summer season.

We are currently accepting tender offers until March 22, 2026.

Duties include:
• Mowing the lawn at the church cemetery
• Mowing the lawn at the manse beside the church
• Trimming around headstones and buildings
• General upkeep of the grounds

Preference will be given to applicants with their own liability insurance.

🕯️✨ Christmas Day — The Christ Candle ✨🕯️

Today we rejoice as we light the Christ Candle,
the center of our Advent wreath
and the fulfillment of every promise God has made.

On this holy day,
the Light of the World has come among us—
not in power or splendor,
but in humility,
born in a manger,
wrapped in love.

Jesus Christ, our Savior,
brings hope for the weary,
peace for the troubled,
joy for the brokenhearted,
and love that knows no end.

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior,
which is Christ the Lord.” — Luke 2:11

God of perfect love, in this final week of Advent,
we celebrate the greatest gift ever given:
Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Your love came down to dwell among us—
humble, vulnerable, and full of grace.
May that same love be born in our hearts today.

Teach us to love as You have loved us:
sacrificially, compassionately, and without condition.
Prepare us to welcome Christ with open hearts
as we draw near to the celebration of His birth.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son.”
