Did You Know Angels Make Du'a for You When You Make Du'a for Others?

Making du'a for others is a beautiful act of kindness that benefits not only those we pray for, but also ourselves. The Prophet ﷺ taught us to remember our fellow believers in our supplications, seeking Allah's forgiveness and mercy for the entire Ummah. When we sincerely make du'a for someone in their absence, the angels say Ameen and ask Allah to grant us the same. So never hesitate to pray for others, because every sincere du'a is an opportunity to spread goodness while inviting Allah's blessings into our own lives.

What if the true measure of your faith isn't what people see, but what you do when no one is watching?

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to worship Allah as though we see Him, and even though we cannot see Him, He sees us. This is the essence of Ihsan.

This powerful reminder explores the importance of sincerity (Ikhlas) and excellence (Itqan) in everything we do. True faith goes beyond outward actions. It requires a heart that is constantly aware of Allah, striving to do what is right not for recognition or praise, but solely for His sake.

When someone treats us harshly, our first instinct is often to defend our pride and respond with the same negativity. But Islam teaches us a higher standard of character. Allah reminds us to repel evil with what is better, because even someone who opposes us today may become a close friend tomorrow. True strength lies not in winning arguments or protecting our ego, but in responding with patience, wisdom, and kindness, even when others fail to treat us the same way.

The Only Scripture Preserved Word for Word

Jesus ﷺ spoke Aramaic, yet the earliest complete Bibles are in Greek and come from centuries after him. The Quran has stayed exactly as it was revealed, recited the same way by Muslims everywhere.

Allah says: "Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy." (Fussilat 41:42)

Allah also says: "And We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it." (Al Ma'idah 5:48)

Read the Quran with its meaning, and see for yourself.
When you discuss scripture with Christians, be gentle and respectful.
Share this with someone who is searching for the truth.

One Book, one text, and 1,400 years without a single change.

He Chose Allah Over Wealth

The Prophet ﷺ could have become the richest man in Makkah. He chose the message of Allah instead, and he left this world with almost nothing.

Allah says: "And do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [some] categories of them, [its being but] the splendor of worldly life by which We test them. And the provision of your Lord is better and more enduring." (Ta Ha 20:131)

Aisha said: "The Prophet ﷺ died while his armour was pawned to a Jewish man for thirty sa' of barley." (Sahih al Bukhari 2916)

Never trade your principles for money or status.
Be as honest in business as he was ﷺ.
Spend on others instead of hoarding.
Measure success by what you take to the grave.

He left no gold behind, but he left us a legacy that will never end.

Be Gentlest With Your Own Family

Some people are kind to everyone outside but harsh with their own family. That isn't the character of a believer.

Allah says: "And live with them in kindness." (An Nisa 4:19)

The Prophet ﷺ said: "The best of you are those who are best to their families, and I am the best of you to my family." (Jami at Tirmidhi 3895. Sahih)

Speak to your spouse as gently as you speak to your customers and colleagues.
Leave your stress at the door before you walk in.
Listen to your children before you correct them.
Thank your family for the small things they do.
Smile at home too.

Your character at home shows who you really are.

Be the One Who Builds Bridges, Not Walls

Not every word that's true needs to be repeated. Sometimes passing on exactly what someone said only spreads more anger.

The Prophet ﷺ said, "He is not a liar who makes peace between people, conveying good or saying good." (Bukhari, Muslim)

Allah says, "No good is there in much of their private conversation, except for those who enjoin charity or that which is right or conciliation between people." (An-Nisa 4:114)

And he ﷺ warned about the opposite: "The one who spreads tales to cause trouble will not enter Paradise." (Bukhari, Muslim)

So before you pass something on, ask yourself:

Will this bring people closer, or push them apart?
Can I share the good and leave out what only causes harm?
Am I helping two people reconcile, or adding fuel to the fire?

The world has enough people breaking bonds. Be the one who mends them.

Alhamdulillah. Sisters, the new masjid is now open for you too.

The sisters’ section at 128 Sheppard Avenue West is open for all five daily prayers. Use the separate sisters’ entrance, the side door next to the garage.

Jummah is not moving yet. It stays at 5150 Yonge Street, Burgundy Hall, concourse level, until further notice.

May Allah make this space a place of peace and barakah for every sister who walks through its door.
