All programmes provided by the Scarborough Historical Society are held at St.Mark’s and are free for anyone interested to attend.
The Scarborough Historical Society invites you to attend the last of our programme series before breaking for the summer, with the series returning in September.
On Tuesday May 26 at 7.30 we welcome the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority to present a programme on the Meadoway.
A transformative project that started off in Scarborough and grew, beyond its borders and inspiring other municipalities. The Meadoway is a reimagining of the Gatineau Corridor Hydro Fields, replacing an unwelcoming field of grass, with a thriving ecosystem of meadows and a multi use trail to engage community interaction. An excellent opportunity to find out more about this amazing project, the challenges, and the future goals for this place.
All programmes provided are free to attend, limited to the capacity of the venue.
Interested in attending? the programme is held at St.Mark’s United Church at 115 Orton Park Rd. Scarborough. Plentiful, free, well lit parking is available in the parking lot and the room is walker/wheelchair accessible by ramp. If arriving by transit, catch the Curran Hall 154 bus, the church is south of the Orton Park/Brimorton intersection. Hope to see you!
