☀️ WE’RE HIRING A SUMMER DAY CAMP LEADER! 🎉

Do you love working with kids, being creative, building community, and growing as a leader? Christ Church St. James is looking for a Day Camp Leader to join our team this summer through the Canada Summer Jobs program!

This is more than just a summer job. It’s an opportunity to:
🌟 Help lead our summer day camp for children
🌟 Grow in leadership and ministry experience
🌟 Be part of a joyful and supportive team
🌟 Use creativity through social media, planning, and community outreach
🌟 Make a real difference in the lives of children and families

We’re looking for someone who is:
✔ Energetic and enthusiastic
✔ Responsible and organized
✔ Creative and willing to take initiative
✔ Passionate about working with children

📍35 hours/week for 8 weeks
📍$17.60/hour
📍Sunday mornings required
📍Start date: June 1, 2026

🙏🏻Come, Holy Spirit. Fill us afresh today.🔥

Today is our monthly Day of Prayer. Our focus is preparing our hearts ❤️ for Pentecost later this month.

In Acts 2, we see how God poured out the Holy Spirit 🔥 on all people. That same Spirit is still at work today, and we are praying for a fresh filling and renewal in our lives and in the Church.

We pray God does this not just at CCSJ, but across Mimico/Lakeshore, south Etobicoke, and throughout our city, province, country, and the world 🌎

Happy 90th Birthday to our parishioner Barbara Beatty!

What a beautiful milestone and a true testament to a life richly blessed. Today we celebrate not just the years you’ve lived, but the love, wisdom, and faith you’ve shared so generously with everyone around you.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you.” (Numbers 6:24–25)

May you continue to feel God’s presence surrounding you, His peace filling your heart, and His joy lifting your spirit. Your life is an inspiration—a reflection of grace, strength, and enduring faith.

Want to grow in your faith… but not sure where to start? 🤔

Follow: A Discipleship Journey is starting the week of April 13, and you’re invited.

Discipleship is learning to follow Jesus.
Follow Groups are a simple way to do that together by reading Scripture, praying, and encouraging one another in everyday life.

• Mondays, 7:00–8:15pm
• Thursdays, 2:00–3:00pm

📅 Two 5-week terms (new material each term):
• April 13–May 11
• May 25–June 22

Today is Holy Saturday. It’s a day of waiting. A quiet space between the cross and the resurrection.A day when it can feel like nothing is happening… but God is still at work.

But at sundown, everything changes. Tonight we gather for The Easter Vigil—the first celebration of our Lord’s resurrection.

We’ll move from darkness to light, hear the story of God’s saving work through Scripture, and celebrate 2 baptisms as new life is proclaimed.

Our service begins tonight at 7pm as we remember Jesus’ command to love one another ❤️and His example He gave us as He washed His disciples feet.

We’ll also remember the meal He gave us to remember Him by - the bread and wine, His precious body and blood. 🍷🥖
