Prayer time with Mayor Olivia Chow and Counciller Lily Cheng, some of their staff and members of Mission GTA, Steve Chu, Alvin Koh, Kathy Klassen, Marva Tyndale and myself. We prayed for the Mayor, her Councillers and staff, that they may access the wisdom of the Lord for strength in their own personal lives and in resolving homelessness, food shortages, crime and other issues that are plaguing the city.

As with the majority of congregations, we always pray for the people in the city of Toronto.

As we prayed, we believed that the Lord was hearing our prayers.

It was confirmed to when I was approached by Mayor John Torey's office to pray in Oji-Cree for the city during their Remembrance Day services in 2018 and 2019.

It was a tremendous honor, and although the city is struggling with Covid, we believe the Lord is still in control of it's destiny.
