There are several thousand Hindus of Bangladeshi origin living in greater Toronto and its surrounding areas. Since the early eighties, Bangladeshi Hindus are coming to Canada and their members are increasing in every year. da Hindu Mandir (BCHM) was established in greater Toronto on September 2004 as a charitable Ontario Corporation and became registered charitable organization from Canada Revenue Agency on February 2005. Vision:
- To be recognized for excellence in the quality of religious services provided.
- To be the focal point of the Hindu community, in providing social services, dedicated to serve with commitment and integrity.
- To be recognized by the community at-large as a compassionate charity, working in harmony with other charities to benefit the whole community.
- To be recognized as the centre for nurturing youth & learning Hindu heritage. Core Values:
All volunteers and employees of the Mandir, at all times, must conduct their duties in appropriate manner to create harmony and proper environment in the Mandir.
