Two weeks ago, Fr. Thomas — a Georgian Orthodox priest here in Ontario — stood with his wife and watched their home burn. For years he has been the first to help everyone else. That night his family walked out with their lives and nothing more. Even the children's shoes were gone. Glory to God nobody was hurt 🕊
Since then, something beautiful has been happening. Strangers from every community — Greek, Georgian, Serbian, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Canadian — have been giving what they can. Some $2,000, some $5. One donor wrote, "Please accept it," as if he were the one asking a favor.
The family still has a long road: a home, beds, clothing, a car for a house full of children. If you can give, any amount truly helps. If you can't, one share and one prayer are worth just as much.
Fr. Thomas has promised to pray at every Liturgy for every single person who helps. Let's give him a long list of names.
