[EN] On the second day of the Provincial Chapter, the capitulars took a brief break from discussions on the life and mission of the Province and traveled to downtown Toronto to celebrate the Holy Eucharist at St. Patrick's Parish. They also visited and toured the new Redemptorist Centre next door, which will serve as the future home of the Province’s Provincial Offices.

[FR] Au deuxième jour du Chapitre Provincial, les capitulaires ont brièvement interrompu leurs discussions sur la vie et la mission de la Province pour se rendre au centre-ville de Toronto afin de célébrer la Sainte Eucharistie à la paroisse Saint-Patrick. Ils ont également visité le nouveau Centre Rédemptoriste situé juste à côté, qui abritera à l’avenir les bureaux provinciaux.

160 years of making her known throughout the world. Our mission continues.

On December 11, 1865, Blessed Pope Pius IX accepted the request of Father Nicholas Mauron, C.Ss.R., Superior General, and entrusted the Icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help to his care, with the instruction to “make it known to the whole world.” In January, the Redemptorists received the Icon from the Augustinians, and on April 26, 1866, Our Lady of Perpetual Help was restored to public veneration in the Church of St. Alphonsus, Rome.

Le 11 décembre 1865, le bienheureux pape Pie IX accéda à la demande du père Nicolas Mauron, C.Ss.R., supérieur général, et lui confia l’icône de Notre-Dame-du-Perpétuel-Secours, en lui donnant pour instruction de « la faire connaître au monde entier ». En janvier, les Rédemptoristes reçurent l’icône des Augustins, et le 26 avril 1866, Notre-Dame-du-Perpétuel-Secours fut à nouveau mise à la vénération publique dans l’église Saint-Alphonse, à Rome.

: [EN] The parish community of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Vancouver observed Holy Week and Easter through a series of meaningful liturgical and community celebrations, presided over by Fr. Leo English, C.Ss.R. together with the Redemptorist community of Vancouver.

Some of the services held by the parish during this year’s Holy Week included the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Holy Thursday; the Veneration of the Cross and a Children’s Good Friday Service on Good Friday; and an Easter Egg Hunt with the Easter Bunny on Easter Sunday. At the Easter Vigil, 11 catechumens and candidates of the parish were baptised and received into the Catholic Church.

[FR] La communauté paroissiale de Notre-Dame-du-Perpétuel-Secours à Vancouver a célébré la Semaine Sainte et Pâques à travers une série de célébrations liturgiques et communautaires riches de sens, présidées par le père Leo English, C.Ss.R., en collaboration avec la communauté rédemptoriste de Vancouver.

Parmi les célébrations organisées par la paroisse pendant la Semaine Sainte de cette année figuraient l’adoration du Saint-Sacrement le Jeudi Saint ; la vénération de la Croix et une célébration du Vendredi Saint pour les enfants le Vendredi Saint ; ainsi qu’une chasse aux œufs de Pâques avec le lapin de Pâques le dimanche de Pâques. Lors de la veillée pascale, 11 catéchumènes et candidats de la paroisse ont été baptisés et accueillis dans l’Église catholique.
