October is Leadership Month!

Join us on Sunday, October 25, as we celebrate Pastor’s Appreciation Sunday at Kingsway Community Life Centre!

We are grateful for our pastors and their faithful leadership, dedication, and commitment to our church family.

📖 1 Timothy 5:17 reminds us to honour those who faithfully labour in the Word and doctrine.

As we prepare to celebrate, we invite our KCLC family to prayerfully consider giving a special Pastor’s Appreciation offering as an expression of love and gratitude.

Ways to Give:

* In person: Pastor’s Appreciation envelopes will be available at the church.
* Online/e-transfer: Please include “Pastor’s Appreciation” in the message or memo section of your transfer.

Maybe you stopped going to church years ago. Maybe you never started.

Maybe you’ve been carrying something you haven’t told anyone, and you’re tired of saying “I’m good” when you’re not.

We know that feeling. Most of us walked into Kingsway with a wall up, expecting nothing. What we found was a family that didn’t need us to have it all together first.

You don’t have to clean yourself up before you come. You don’t have to know the songs, or when to stand, or what to say. Come as you are. We’ll save you a seat.

And if you’re sitting in the parking lot trying to decide, don’t start that car. Come in.

“They know what they did. I’m just going to drink water and mind my business.” 👀

But Pastor Richard J. Brown reminded us: it IS your business when unresolved conflict is growing in your home and relationships.

Time does not automatically heal wounds. Silence does not automatically mean peace. And ignoring conflict can give it more time to grow.

Sometimes what looks like a peaceful, quiet home is actually two people emotionally living in completely different worlds.

It’s time to stop ignoring what needs to be addressed. True peace requires more than silence.

Sometimes silence isn’t a sign that everything is okay. Sometimes it’s pain that has stopped talking.

Unspoken pain becomes buried pain.
Buried pain becomes bitterness.
And bitterness can eventually become rebellion.

In yesterday’s message, “Rebuilding,” Pastor Richard J. Brown reminded us that healing and restoration require us to address what’s been buried—not simply stop talking about it.

🏠 WHAT BUILDS A HOME?

Last week, we began this powerful series with “FRACTURED”, exploring 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 and the ways unresolved wounds, trauma, and conflict can impact the home.

But a fractured home doesn’t have to stay fractured. ❤️‍🩹

Tomorrow, we’re going deeper. We’ll be focusing on God’s power, God’s plan, and God’s presence to heal fractured homes and families. 🙏

What are we avoiding that God is calling us to address?

Some of the hardest conversations are often the ones that bring the greatest healing.

This Sunday, Pastor Richard J. Brown challenged us to look beyond appearances and ask ourselves: What have we been covering up in our homes, our marriages, or our relationships?

Revival doesn't start with a platform, a microphone, or even our Sunday best.

✨ It begins when we stop avoiding the difficult conversations, invite God into the middle of them, and allow Him to bring healing where there has been hurt.

This message wasn't about condemning broken families—it was about introducing broken families to a God who still rebuilds.

🙌🏾 "Where the Lord builds the house, love becomes the foundation, grace becomes the atmosphere, forgiveness becomes the language, and His glory becomes the inheritance of generations to come."

No matter how deep the cracks, God is still the Master Builder!

🌾 Flashback Friday 🌾

Last Sunday, we were blessed by a timely word from Pastor Pierre A. Thompson (The Ramp Church Toronto ) that reminded us of a promise every believer needs to hold onto:

Your due season is coming!

The seed only produces a harvest when it’s planted in the right environment.

God’s Word isn’t meant to stay on the surface of our lives, we’re called to plant it deep in our hearts and live it out every day.

There may be moments when it feels like nothing is happening.

You pray, you serve, you sow, and you wait.

But just because you can’t see growth doesn’t mean God isn’t working beneath the surface.

His Word reminds us:

“Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” — Galatians 6:9

Stay faithful.
Stay planted.
Stay expectant.

Your due season is coming, and we believe that before this year is over, many will see the fruit of the seeds they’ve sown in faith.
