We live in a chaotic and ever-changing world that is moving at a pace we haven’t seen or lived in before. The world tries to manufacture peace through ideal circumstances, financial security, or temporary comforts that we tend to run after. But when those things begin to shift in a direction we don’t want them to, the peace disappears.
Why? Because the peace the world gives is dependent on circumstances.
But Jesus offers us something different. In John 14:27, He says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.”
The peace of Jesus isn’t dependent on what is happening around us. It remains when circumstances change, when answers don’t come, and when life feels uncertain.
So instead of chasing the peace the world offers, which will eventually fade, rest in the peace that only Jesus can give. 🤍
