Canada Day - Annual St. James Drop-In & Community BBQ

🍔 The Drop-In invites the community to celebrate Canada Day with a BBQ on the West Lawn from 12:30pm–3:00pm.

🎶 Thank you for joining us for the Children’s Community Choir Spring Concert on Saturday, June 13, 2026!

💛 We are deeply grateful to everyone who came out and supported our young singers. This concert marked the end of our first year of the Children’s Community Choir, and it was a joyful celebration of music and community.

Summer Choir Camp from August 31 to September 3:
Children ages 8–12 are invited to enjoy 4 days of choir & music activities, art, drama, guest musicians, and outdoor time.

The York Group was delighted to host The Rev’d Canon Geoffrey Sangwine, Sub-Dean & Vicar of St. James Cathedral, on Sunday, June 14 as its speaker over a light lunch.

Canon Geoff gave a very enjoyable and educational presentation about The Colours of the Church Year, demonstrating these with various clergy chasubles on display, explaining the nuances of the colours, the meaning of each season, and answering many questions.

With 30+ parishioners in attendance the event was impactful and a resounding success. The York Group is very grateful to Canon Geoffrey for his time and the depth of his knowledge and experience.
