“My past, O Lord, to your Mercy;
my present, to your Love; my future,
to your Providence!”

— St. Padre Pio

When life feels dark and uncertain, remembered does, some of His greatest work in the dark.

It was in the quiet of the night that He showed Abraham the stars, giving him a promise that seemed impossible in therlight of his circumstances. Sometimes God allows the night to fall so we can finally lift our eyes and see what we couldn’t see beforestars.

If you’re walking through a season of darkness, don’t lose heart. The same God who painted the stars is still writing your story. He’s not absent; He’s preparing to reveal something beautiful. Hold on. Keep trusting. Because even when you can’t see what He’s doing, He’s still faithful—and He’s turning your darkness into a canvas for His light. 🤍🙏🏻

“The darker the night, the brighter His promises shine.”

Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.” Behold I knock, I seek and ask for the grace of… (Mention your Intention Here) Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.” Behold, in your name, I ask the Father for the grace of… (Mention your Intention Here) Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

O my Jesus, you have said: “Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away.” Encouraged by your infallible words I now ask for the grace of… (Mention your Intention Here) Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of you, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, your tender Mother and ours. Amen.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul,
my God, in you I trust;
Make known to me your ways, Lord;
teach me your paths.

JUNE 5 — FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH
A DEVOTION TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

The First Friday Devotion is a beautiful Catholic tradition dedicated to honoring the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a Heart that burns with infinite love, mercy, and compassion for all humanity. Through this devotion, the faithful are invited to draw closer to Christ, make reparation for sins, and receive the abundant graces that flow from His Sacred Heart.

The Sacred Heart reminds us that Jesus is not distant from our struggles. He knows our joys, sorrows, fears, wounds, and hopes because He carries each of us within His loving Heart. Whenever we feel burdened by life's trials, we can find refuge in Him, who said, “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.”

On this First Friday, let us spend time with Jesus in prayer, attend Holy Mass if possible, receive Holy Communion worthily, and entrust our families, intentions, and needs to His Sacred Heart. May His love heal what is broken within us, strengthen what is weak, and guide us on the path of holiness.

Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
fountain of love and mercy,
I place my trust in You.
Take my heart and make it like Yours—
humble, pure, patient, and full of charity.
Heal my wounds, forgive my sins,
and grant me the grace to love You above all things.
Protect my family, strengthen my faith,
and lead me always closer to Your Sacred Heart.
Amen.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

Friends, in today’s Gospel (Mark 12:28–34), the Lord says that the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself.

Love is not primarily a feeling or an instinct; rather, it is the act of willing the good of the other as other. It is radical self-gift, living for the sake of the other. To be kind to someone so that he might be kind to you, or to treat a fellow human being justly so that he, in turn, might treat you with justice, is not to love, for such moves are tantamount to indirect self-interest.

Truly to love is to move outside of the black hole of one’s egotism, to resist the centripetal force that compels one to assume the attitude of self-protection. But this means that love is rightly described as a “theological virtue,” for it represents a participation in the love that God is.

Since God has no needs, only God can utterly exist for the sake of the other. All of the great masters of the Christian spiritual tradition saw that we are able to love only inasmuch as we have received, as a grace, a share in the very life, energy, and nature of God.
