BEWARE OF WHAT YOU ALLOW IN YOUR LIFE

(Joshua 7:12-13, Judges 6:25-26, Acts 19:19
Physical Objects can have spiritual connections just as bad thoughts, emotions and attitude can affect us. Possessions in our homes and in our lives may also have a negative spiritual and emotional impact on our lives
For example if there are items in our homes or lives that focus on evil, violence, witchcraft, idolatry, perversion, and other sinful things, they will prove to be a red carpet invitation to demonic harassment and evil thoughts patterns and beliefs. If we entertain violence video games then our thoughts become focused on violence and aggression. I have seen where the spirit of anger and violence entered into a child because of the kinds of video games and movies he exposed himself. Once we continue to read perverse books, movies, magazines and websites then our thoughts will become flooded with perversion. If we have items that represent pagan gods and goddess, it can open the door of unbelief. If we have old love letters, cards and pictures of past ungodly relationship, and thoughts of former boyfriend and girlfriend have never left our mind. Those things can stir up negative thoughts, beliefs and emotions again each time we behold them. Sometimes the kind of pictures you hang in your house can have effect in your dreams.

OUR POSSESSIONS REFLEECT OUR PRIORITIES
Our possessions reflect the things we consciously admire and acquire and they basically show our true spiritual conditions. The things we choose to watch on the televisions, in movies and on-lines will definitely influence our thoughts and emotions. Holding on the possessions from the past that stir negative memories is actually a sign that that we really do not want to move on. We just have to use wisdom in choosing what we prioritize to avoid demonic contacts or ties. This is because your priority is your choice and your choice is what you love best in the midst of many options. What you love reflects the desires of your soul and can be tied up with your soul.
This is why God does not want anything among our possessions that dishonors Him and he wants to be our priority.

Souvenirs that portray demonic beings, idols or pagan gods or goddesses

Day 1 of the 15-Day Fasting and Prayer
Theme: “POWER OF RESTORATION”

TOPIC: "SYTEMATIC PRAYER OF RESTORATION" (Hosea 6:1)
Today we have started 15 days of fasting and prayers on the systematic power of restoration. Whatever the enemy has tried to take away from you, God wants to restore it. God wants to make it better than before. That’s the kind of Father He is. Every day we have choices put before us. We can be tempted to get hurt, wounded, or depressed. We can complain and remain in the same awful condition. Or we can praise God and be raised up.

Understanding Restoration;
Restoration is the action of returning something to a former owner, place or condition.
1) To bring back to the position it was before (reinstatement)
2) With modification that makes it better than before or addition (restitution)

Believing in God for Restoration
You must understand that everything belongs to God. (Haggai 2:8: Malachi 4:2: Ephesians 1:3: Deuteronomy 8:18: John 10:10)

Some Examples of Those God Restored
A. God brought restoration in the life of Joseph.
1. God gave him a vision.
2. He boasted of the vision.
3. He was thrown into the pit.
4. He was cast into the dungeon of the prison.
5. Then he was raised to the palace.

B. God brought restoration to the life of Moses.
1. Moses was groomed to be a leader -- in line to be the pharaoh.
2. God gave him a vision of being a deliver of his people.
3. He became a shepherd.
4. He was restored to position of leadership.

C. God, the Father, restored life of Jesus.
1. He was born to be king of kings.
2. He was born in poverty.
3. He was oppressed.
4. He was accused and sentenced to be crucified.
5. Died, was buried, but raised to be King of kings.

TOPIC: "MIXING TRUTH WITH GRACE"
Texts: John 1:14, Romans 12:18, 1Sam. 22:2, 23:5

The glory of Jesus Christ is in his presentation of truth with grace.
Truth without grace is dangerous and would eliminate most of the followers of Christ. Most Christians would not make the mark if God dealt with us based on only the truth. Let’s face it, how many Christians do what the pastor tells them to do? If the church were to wipe out its mistake laden members, most churches would be empty (Psalm 130:3)
Jesus our Lord who is the light of our character in his leader combined truth and grace when dealing with his followers. This combination of mixture of truth and grace allowed some of the followers to straightened out and become great ministers. Truth without grace would have eliminated many of the wonderful followers of Jesus who were great ministers after and continued with the good news.

Examples of How to Use a Mixture of Grace and Truth
1) Jesus Knew the truth about Judas but He mixed it with grace Jesus could have moved on Judas because he knew the truth that Judas was a betrayer but allowed him to benefit from the grace of God. He mixed truth with grace to give Judas a chance but Judas ended up destroying himself. When people are shown love and forgiveness and patience they will either straighten out or destroy them eventually if that is their destinies.

2) Jesus knew the truth about Peter but He mixed truth with grace Jesus knew that peter will deny Him. He knows that Peter was open to satanic and worldly influences but he still worked with him and never disconnected from him (Matthew 16:23, John 13:38) He knew Peter will let him down and also slept at the prayer meeting and He still mixed truth with grace and committed the flock into his hand despite that he backlided and went back to fishing at one point.

3) Jesus Knew the truth about Thomas but he mixed it with Grace Thomas could not believe that Jesus could rise from the dead and Jesus knew it. He knows that Thomas did not believe in resurrection. The grace of God gave Thomas another opportunity to become a believer. A mixture of grace and truth gave birth to another ardent follower (John 20:26-29)

4) Jesus knew the truth about His ten disciples but He mixed it with grace. He knew the truth about His disciples. He knew that His disciples will desert them when he needed them the most. Many of them went back to their secular jobs (Matthew 21:2-3, 26:56)
The grace of God made Jesus ignore the frailties, weakness and mistakes of his followers. He mixed grace with their faults reality and allowed His men to become mighty apostles. If you show grace on the faults of your wives, husbands, friends, co-members and followers, work with them advise them and always open their eyes to the truth and constantly pray for them you will bear more fruits.
David did the same thing when about four hundred distressed, indebted and embittered men came to him and he became their captain trained them and took them to the battle and won. I believe he saw the areas they were good and mixed grace with truth of their characters and god made is strength perfect in their weaknesses and they were fruitful and useful at the end.

No wonder God commanded us to LOVE one another, it is only through love that we will be able to overlook faults on others and continue to teach them and pray for them not compromising with them. In this case we are mixing truth with grace because God called us to lead the group human beings and not angels.
If you cut off the hand of your child because he touched what you asked him not to touch, will he ever grow up to become a responsible citizen? By the time he is an adult, he would have neither arms nor legs because you would have amputated all his limbs for his numerous mistakes during childhood.
Do not give up on investing in people with love, patience, prayers, training, teaching and counselling. See into the future and know that they will one day grow to responsible leaders. Do not be overwhelmed by the shortcomings of your spouse, friends or people you trust. What you have invested in their lives will definitely yield something.
