Announcements for Sunday September 6, 2026
Fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost.
On-line options worship services. Our services are primarily available through our page, and are linked to the home page of our website, www.stjudewexford.ca. Zoom information for Sundays: 857 6600 0074 / Passcode: 449811
Office Hours. The parish office is open Tuesday to Friday from 9:00am – Noon.
Our Food Bank. The Deacon’s Pantry Food Bank is open every Wednesday (10:00am – Noon) as an essential service to our community.
Monthly Bilingual services. On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month we celebrate the cultural diversity of our parish in more intentional way, using (and providing) both English and Spanish throughout the service. Our Sunday school program will resume on Sunday September 13.
Back to school donations. On Wednesday September 2, we gave school supplies to 19 families consisting of 37 school children (ages 5-17). Thanks to everyone for their generous donations supporting kids in our Food Bank going back to school.
CHW Helping Hands. Helping Hands will be returning on September 16. Weekly meetings are held on Wednesdays in the Britton Room starting at 12:30pm.
Holy Rollers. Our indoor carpet bowling group meets on Fridays at 9:45am in the Hall. All are welcome.
All Candidates meeting. The upcoming municipal election will be held on Monday October 26. With guidance from the Diocese, we are planning to hold an All Candidates meeting. While the date is still to be confirmed, please stay tuned for more information.
Blessing of the Animals service. To honour the life and mission of St Francis of Assisi, we will hold a blessing of the animals service on Sunday September 27, 2026 at 2:00pm. Please share the flyer available. All are welcome to attend.
Fundscrip opportunities in 2026. More and more people like to receive a gift card for birthdays and other holidays. Fundscrip helps you with this. You can use them for your everyday shopping: Groceries, gas, etc. Fundscrip also provides the recipient with the full amount of the gift card while also giving a percentage back to St Jude’s. The latest order has been submitted and we are waiting for it to arrive to the office.
Prayers during the week at St Jude’s. Throughout the year, we live-stream prayer services on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in both English and Spanish (they also get linked to the homepage of our website).

Supporting the life and ministry of St Jude’s. As we continue this season initiated by the gift of the Holy Spirit among us, we are reminded of the many ways we are inspired to do the work rooted in that gift through generosity and hospitality. As we approach the half point in the year, the Corporation is deeply grateful for your ongoing support to the life and work of the parish.
Last week we held 4 online services engaging people looking for prayer and connection. We also provided food to 55 households (representing 209 individuals), with 1 new family registered on Wednesday September 2. As we celebrate God’s abundant new life and mercy to us all at St Jude’s, we thank you for supporting the life and mission we all bring to this part of God’s garden.
