WE DID IT, TEAM RUN FOR PROMISE! 💙🏃🏽‍♂️🙌🏽

What an incredible weekend at the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon!

Our UrbanPromise Toronto community came together to run, walk, cheer & give for a purpose greater than ourselves!

To everyone who participated, volunteered, cheered, prayed & donated…wow, THANK YOU! 💙

The need is urgent. And you can make a difference today!

Too many children in Toronto Community Housing are navigating the challenges of growing up without the consistent support, safe spaces, and trusted relationships every child deserves.

That’s why Pastor Darryl Dash of Grace Fellowship Church is running a half-marathon for his second Run for Promise. Every step is helping raise critical funds for UrbanPromise Toronto’s AfterSchool programs.

These programs provide safe, supportive spaces for children during the crucial hours between 3–6 pm, while also creating employment and leadership opportunities for teens through our StreetLeader program.

This school year, we’re welcoming more than 100 children. We need your help to be ready for every one of them.

🏃‍♂️ 10 years. Two races. One powerful reason to keep showing up.

This year marks Andrew’s 10th Run for Promise, and he’s going big: running the 5K on October 17 AND the full marathon on October 18!

Why does he keep coming back?

Years ago, Andrew spent a week at summer camp with UrbanPromise Toronto and saw firsthand what can happen when children and youth are surrounded by people who consistently show up with time, care, encouragement, and love.

That experience stayed with him. And he’s been running ever since.

Our All Camp BBQ was the prefect way to end our summer programming at UrbanPromise Toronto🌭 The last day of summer camp is always bittersweet but we're happy to celebrate the kids, leaders, and staff that made this summer amazing! The relationships built, lessons learned, and memories made won't be forgotten❤️
