For those unfamiliar with the soulful and downright bombastic sound of Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, prepare to be musically electrified. The brass horn band is remarkable not only for its raucous street performances, but also because all eight members are from the same legendary family. Sons of anti-est...

Since Tumblr is apparently going to have an outage today (if it hasn't already happened) I've decided this would be a better place to share the politically charged and brilliantly animated new video, Reagan by Killer Mike.

Go ahead, I dare you not to click Like on this one. It's virtually impossible.

Just finished watching Black August, a documentary about the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement and their events used to create awareness about political prisoners in the US. I recall hearing about the movement back in the late 90's and always wanted to check it out, but never made it.

This film highlights the connections between the US, Cuban and African hip hop movements. It also shows our generations activists and speakers like Dream Hampton, Marc Lamont Hill, Talib Kweli Dead Prez and others.

Well worth watching. (Watch other 7 parts on Youtube)
