What does it mean to live bravely together?
This Sunday we continue our "Consider the Birds" worship series with one of the strangest and most surprising creatures in scripture… the ostrich.
On Pentecost Sunday, the day we remember the rushing wind and wild fire of God’s Spirit, we’ll explore the story of the disciples hiding behind locked doors… and the Spirit that called them back out into the world with courage, connection, and hope. Alongside the Pentecost story, we’ll hear God’s delight in the beautiful strangeness of creation through the ostrich in the Book of Job… a bird that cannot fly, but can outrun a horse — a creature often misunderstood, yet deeply communal and resilient.
Through scripture, music, prayer, and reflection, we’ll wonder together about the ways God calls us beyond fear and isolation, reminding us that we were never meant to survive alone. Come experience a worship service filled with wind, fire, laughter, community, and the Spirit that still moves among us today.
