Janet is both a Registered Psychotherapist and Registered Marriage and Family Therapist with the province of Ontario. She received her Master of Divinity in Counselling Studies at Tyndale College Seminary.

Janet has a wealth of church ministry experience as well. She served in a pastoral role at Toronto Korean Philadelphia Church for 15 years and as the Director of Christian Education at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Buffalo, New York for 3 years.

Currently, she is an Adjunct Instructor of Counselling at Tyndale Seminary and runs her own private counselling practice, Five Smooth Stones.

As the Community Care Worker of Broken Bread Toronto, Janet brings her ministry experience and counselling training to help our people better connect biblical teaching to our daily emotional and psychological lives. This is an extension of the role of the Holy Spirit to the church. He is called the Counsellor who leads us to all truth (John 16:13). It's our hope that the ministry of Broken Bread helps truth to become real in all of our lives.

* Passion Week Devotional Guide *

Please consider spending this upcoming week (Passion Week) differently this year. Dedicated times of prayer, scripture reading, and fasting in remembrance of Christ's suffering are all in accordance with one's walk with God. Please visit our website: http://brokenbreadtoronto.com/passion-week/

Passion Week, also known as Holy Week, is the time from Palm Sunday (the Sunday before Easter) and Easter Sunday, also known as Resurrection Sunday. Passion week is so named because of the suffering Jesus willingly traversed on the way to the cross and at the cross. This to pay the debt of our sins…
