Scripture Matthew 14:2 2- 33 - 22
Immediately, he made the disciples get into a boat and go on ahead to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. 23 And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, 24 but by this time the boat, battered by the waves, was
far from the land, for the wind was against them. 25 And early in the morning, he came walking toward them on the sea. 26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, saying, “It is a ghost!” And
they cried out in fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them and said,
“Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid.”
28 Peter answere d him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” 29 He said, “Come.” So, Peter got out of the boat, started walking on the water, and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he noticed the strong wind, he became frightened, and, beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord,
save me!” 31 Jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 When they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 And those in the boat worshiped him, saying,
“Truly you are the Son of God.”

June 21- 10:30 am 33 East Rd. ( Warden and Kingston Rd.) All are Welcome!

This week, we hear Jesus say, “Whoever welcomes you welcomes me” and “whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones… will not lose their reward” (Matthew 10:40-42). In a world that often encourages us to judge, categorize, and dismiss, Jesus offers a different way. He invites us to welcome people as they are, not as we wish them to be. He calls us to pay attention to the prophets who challenge us, the righteous whose quiet faithfulness sustains us, and the “little ones” whose voices are too often overlooked.

As I return from ordination and begin this next chapter of ministry, I am reminded that none of us journeys alone. Each of us has been shaped by people who offered encouragement, kindness, and belonging along the way—people who gave us a metaphorical cup of cold water when we needed it most.

Bread for the Journey:
Who in your community might be longing for a "cup of cold water" (a gesture of welcome, encouragement, or belonging) and how is God inviting you to respond?

10:30 am at 33 East Rd. Come sit with us!!

This Sunday, Randy has prepared a special service celebrating the music of Canada.

Music has a unique way of telling our stories. It captures our joys and struggles, our hopes and dreams, and the places and people who have shaped us. Canadian music reflects the vastness and diversity of this land, reminding us that our identity is woven together from many voices, cultures, and experiences.

As we gather in worship, may these familiar songs invite us to reflect on what it means to live in community with one another. May they inspire gratitude for the gifts we share, compassion for our neighbours, and hope for the future we are building together.

Bread for the Journey:
What song best tells the story of a place, person, or moment that has shaped who you are today?

Thanks and many blessings,

Sunday, June 7, 2026 - 10:30 am - 33 East Rd.

In this Sunday's Gospel, Jesus shares a meal with people others would rather keep at a distance. The religious leaders question his choices, but Jesus responds with a simple reminder: "I desire compassion, not sacrifice." Again and again, Jesus widens the circle of belonging. He calls Matthew, a tax collector. He stops for a woman who has spent twelve years on the margins. He sees people not as problems to be solved, but as beloved children of God.

As we celebrate Pride Sunday, we are invited to consider what it means to move beyond simply saying "all are welcome" and into the deeper work of creating communities where people truly belong. The Gospel reminds us that belonging is not something we earn. It is a gift. Christ continues to call people, heal people, and widen the circle. May we have the courage to do the same.

Bread for the Journey:
Where have you experienced true belonging, and how might God be inviting you to help create that sense of belonging for someone else this week?

Thanks and many blessings,

May 31,2026- 33 East Rd ( Warden and Kingston Rd. ) 10:30 am! All are welcome in the house of God.

This Sunday, we celebrate Trinity Sunday—a day when the church pauses before one of the great mysteries of our faith. Rather than trying to solve the mystery of the Trinity, we will reflect on what it reveals about the heart of God: relationship, connection, and love that refuses to leave us alone. Through the stories of uncertain disciples, Paul’s blessing to a struggling community, and the shared experience of Communion, we are reminded that faith is not about having every answer. It is about continuing to show up, trusting that God’s grace still meets us in the midst of our questions, our doubts, and our ordinary lives.

Bread for the Journey:

Where in your life right now do you most need the reminder: “You do not walk alone”?

Thanks and many blessings,
