it is well with my soul was written by Horatio Spafford after a fire destroyed his home in 1871. Losing his son to scarlet fever and his four daughters in a shipwreck in 1873.
It is a reminder to find peace and faith amidst grief.
to pray before you want to pray as GOD wants to meet you where you are at. Your pain, your brokenness, your sadness, everything, take it to HIM.
have faith.

About a week ago i woke up to a message from work. A client i saw four times a week, for an hour and a half, her services were being paused.
Within minutes the client's daughter called me and said she wanted me to know that her mom had passed away in her sleep.
The daughter told me the first time she heard about me, was not from her cousins, who were there the first time i went, but from her mom who told her she likes me, im gentle and full of energy.
School tells you, you will lose someone. They ask you to write a paper on loss, how will you do it differently next time you lose someone. But what they cannot and do not prepare you for, is the emotional toll it takes on you.
I need to remind myself constantly that the short amount of time with her spent made a difference.
But i also need to remember grief is normal and i do not have to do this on my own.

As we learned Sunday April 19 2026. In the evening Pastor Allan MacLeod spoke about how a mirror compares GODS word to how your spiritual faith is.
Do not just hear GOD's word but act on it.
Faith requires active transformation NOT just passive knowledge!
