IN THE WARMTH OF COMMUNITY AND GOD`S GRACE
On June 7, it was a warm, sunny, and spiritually uplifting Sunday at the Chapel. Fr. Jaroslaw delivered a profound and inspiring homily on the holiness of the human spirit and the saints who walk among us in everyday life. On this day, the choir was led by Nestor Oliynyk, a reminder that despite the continuous passage of time, we remain a united and vibrant community, connected by faith, friendship, and shared values.

Our Sunday School also held its final class before the summer break. Under the guidance of our dedicated volunteer, Natalia, the children learned about the Apostles. An important part of the session was the children’s art class, lovingly led by Tetiana Ternovska, where the children created Father’s Day cards for their dads.

Coffee and delicious treats were thoughtfully prepared by Olga Adamec , for which we extend our heartfelt gratitude.

The day was enriched by meaningful conversations with Fr. Jaroslaw and fellow parishioners about our history, our faith, and the challenges of the present day. Together, these moments formed a beautiful mosaic of fellowship, leaving everyone with a sense of gratitude, spiritual strength, encouragement, and hope that our prayers are heard and our lives blessed.

We wish all children a joyful, sunny, and memorable summer filled with happiness, good health, and wonderful experiences. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Sunday School at the Chapel in September 2026.

Thank you to each person who helped make this day so special through your presence, participation, and support.
Until we meet again throughout this warm and, we sincerely hope, joyful season for all.

We warmly invite you to a special solo concert by vocalist Oksana Balaieskul, “Українська Душа — пісні, що йдуть від серця,” celebrating Father’s Day.

The first Sunday after the Feast of Holy Pentecost is observed by the Orthodox Church as the Sunday of All Saints. This day has been designated as a commemoration of all of the Saints, all the Righteous, the Prophets, Apostles, Martyrs, Confessors, Shepherds, Teachers, and Holy Monastics, both men and women alike, known and unknown, who have been added to the choirs of the Saints and shall be added, from the time of Adam until the end of the world, who have been perfected in piety and have glorified God by their holy lives.

SUNDAY SCHOOL LAST BELL ON THE FEAST OF PENTECOST
On this radiant Sunday, the great Feast of Pentecost — the day of the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the birthday of Christ’s Church — St. Volodymyr Cathedral in Toronto was filled with a very special joy. We gathered as one parish family to celebrate the Last Bell of our Sunday School, giving thanks to God for another blessed year lived in prayer, friendship, and growth in faith.

The day began with what matters most — the Divine Liturgy, Confession, and Holy Communion. Adorned with greenery and flowers, the Cathedral resembled the Upper Room where the Apostles received the gift of the Holy Spirit. After the Liturgy, families moved to the Cathedral hall for a festive program led by our Sunday School teachers — Mrs. Oksana, Mrs. Viktoria, and Mrs. Ninel — together with the spiritual director of our school, Father Vasyl Kobriy.

Especially touching were the slideshow of photos from the past year and the gift presentation. All the children came up on stage, including those who are not yet officially enrolled, because at our Cathedral, every child belongs. Following our good tradition, the celebration continued with a group photo on the Cathedral steps under the centennial banner “Celebrating the Past — Building our Future” — words that carry a special meaning in this jubilee year (1926–2026).

The day closed with a true children’s celebration in the Cathedral hall: a giant bubble show, a Cotton Candy Cart, a photo zone, desserts, and joyful fellowship. Our heartfelt thanks go to Father Vasyl for his spiritual care, to our teachers for their devoted work, to our parents for their trust and love, and to our children for being the true joy of St. Volodymyr Cathedral.

Registration for 2026–2027 is now open. This year we have two separate programs: Sunday School for children and the newly launched Youth Catechesis for ages 13–19, beginning September 13, 2026.
