Edison Dore passed away peacefully on January 10, 2023 at The Moncton Hospital following a stroke.

He was born and raised in Southhampton, NB, and went on to pursue his lifelong career as a welder. Edison retired from Case Power and Equipment in 1997 and later retired from Murray Demolition in 2005. He was a long-time church warden and member with the Church of Atonement (Alderwood) and was instrumental in the building of the Jubilee Centre.

Edison is remembered and will be missed by his wife of 57 years, Ruth Dore (nee Wilson), sons: Trevor (Melissa) Dore, Scott (Sandy) Dore and his grandchildren Marshall, Bryson, Charlotte and Evan. He is also missed by Shannon Dore, sisters: Betty Noble, Donna Fossum (Earl), brother Duane Dore, sisters-in-law: Joan Dore, Myrtle Wood (Forbes), brother-in-law Robert Wilson and his several nieces and nephews.

Edison was predeceased by his parents: Lloyd and Clarice Dore and his brother Keith Dore.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of life service that will take place at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview (869-2007).

Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
