Evangelism: It's Problem and Solution

Evangelism is impossible. Our hearts are layered with so many narratives and we don't even know we are subconsciously exchanging a truth for a lie. The only thing that can break through is God's spirit. Not our abilities, but what God can do. Are you going to place your trust in what you see and how responsive your friend is, or are you going to place your trust in God's word? We need to take ourselves less seriously, and take God's word, His character, His promises, more seriously. There is freedom knowing we are mere instruments and if they reject you, it's their sin problem, peace knowing that it's in God's hands, and when they do respond, there is a tremendous joy.

Happy Monday!

The Christian life is a call to be brought low as we realize how unholy we are and how holy God is. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to reveal this truth to us so that we may see how desperately we are in need of God's grace. And truly there is great peace in the Lord's mercy because of what Christ has done. So let us be reminded that we are sinners who have been saved by the grace of God!
