Sweet Rice Festival – May 10, 5:30pm-8:30pm

For over 50 years, our beloved Sri Sri Radha Ksira-Chora Gopinatha have been the heart of our Toronto temple!

Why “Ksira-Chora”?
Ksira = sweet rice, Chora = thief. Named by Srila Prabhupada after the famous Deity in Remuna, India who once stole a pot of sweet rice for His devotee Madhavendra Puri

The tradition continues: Since the 1970s, sweet rice has been offered to Their Lordships every single day.Join us Sunday, May 10 at 5:30pm to celebrate! We’ll honor Madhavendra Puri & relish this beautiful pastime.

Special sweet rice pots will be offered to the Deities — sponsor a pot to take home as prasadam 🙏

Nrsimha Caturdasi, the auspicious Appearance Day of Lord Nrsimhadeva, falls on Thursday, April 30th. Lord Nrsimhadeva is Krishna’s divine half-man, half-lion incarnation who appeared to protect His beloved devotee Prahlada Maharaja from the tyrannical demon Hiranyakashipu.

Join us at ISKCON Toronto for a special evening of celebrations beginning at 6:00 PM. The program will feature ecstatic kirtan, an inspiring spiritual discourse on the Lord’s pastimes, abhisheka of Sri Sri Lakshmi Nrsimhadeva, and a sumptuous feast for all.

We’re launching a fundraiser to renovate our Deity Department preparation room at ISKCON Toronto. This space is where Their Lordships’ outfits are stored, jewelry is maintained, garlands are made, and all daily worship arrangements are prepared with love and care. After years of dedicated service, the room is in urgent need of upgrades to better support our pujaris and preserve the standard of Deity worship.

Your support will help us install proper storage, improve lighting, add dedicated work surfaces, and create a clean, organized environment befitting Their Lordships’ service. Please visit our website to watch the video to see the current space and our vision for the renovation. You can make your donation below—every contribution helps us serve the Deities more beautifully.
