For more than 50 years, Canadian missionary Ruth Thomson served among the Kayapo and other Indigenous peoples of the Brazilian Amazon. Today, that legacy continues through Brazilian missionaries and Kayapo families who are reaching out to other Indigenous communities.

The Brazil Indigenous Ministry Fund helps support ministry among Indigenous communities throughout the Amazon.

Get to know our projects in LAM: New Life for Women 🌍🇨🇴

Did you know LAM Canada supports nearly 40 holistic projects across the continent? Today, we want our community and missionaries to get to know Nueva Vida Para Mujeres (New Life for Women) in Bogotá, Colombia. For over 25 years, this center has been a haven for street-dependent women. Now, they are stretching their resources to launch an urgent new program rescuing young girls aged 12 to 18 from prostitution, addiction, and homelessness.

How they help:
🚫 Rescue: Providing safety and a way out from life on the streets.
📚 Education: Helping teens finish high school to break the cycle.
🛠 Employment: Offering job training and meaningful skills.
🙏 Faith: Sharing the life-changing love of Jesus.

Founder Alba Nubia Duque Calvo was herself rescued by missionaries 30 years ago. Today, she is paying it forward, but she needs our help to reach more young women.Let's come alongside Alba and the many other vital projects LAM runs across the continent!

Get to know our projects in LAM: Quien Soy Yo Foundation 🌍🇳🇮

Did you know LAM Canada supports vital, life-changing ministries all across Latin America? Today, we invite our community and missionaries to learn about the Quien Soy Yo Foundation in Nicaragua. This Christian organization focuses on reaching men and women trapped in severe addictions, serving those who have been rejected most of their lives.

How they serve:
⛺ Street Outreach: Caring for the homeless and destitute.⛓ Prison Ministry: Bringing transformation behind bars.
👩 Women's Ministry: Dedicated support for vulnerable women.Their Current Vision:They are actively working to build a holistic rural rehabilitation center to provide long-term care and hope. Your prayers and donations directly fund the purchase of land, ongoing ministries, and Bibles.

Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastating impact of the powerful earthquakes that struck Venezuela, leaving communities devastated, families grieving, and thousands in urgent need of help. Rescue teams continue searching for survivors as the nation faces an enormous humanitarian crisis.

Today, we invite you to join us in prayer:

🙏 Pray for those who have lost loved ones.
🙏 Pray for the injured and displaced.
🙏 Pray for rescue workers, medical teams, and volunteers serving tirelessly.
🙏 Pray for churches and ministries responding with the love of Christ.
🙏 Pray for God's comfort, protection, and hope to be evident in the midst of suffering.

We’re excited to introduce you to Edwin and Magdeline Quispe!

Originally from Peru and now serving as Peruvian Canadians, Edwin and Magdeline have a deep passion for holistic ministry—bringing hope not only spiritually, but also emotionally, relationally, and socially. Their journey has been shaped by years of walking alongside vulnerable communities, helping families rebuild and find healing after seasons of hardship. ()

Now, after years in Canada and a season of prayerful discernment, they are stepping out in faith to return to Peru—partnering with local churches, schools, and communities to strengthen the work God is already doing. ()
