We were delighted to host Rabbi Torczyner’s visit to Toronto this past Shabbat.

Rabbi Torczyner delivered a variety of fascinating Shiurim throughout Shabbat at the Bayt and on Sunday at Shaarei Shomayim.

The communities and participants were grateful for the opportunity to learn once again with Rabbi Torczyner.

Thank you to the Rabbi for the inspiring visit - we look forward to many more!

We invite you to join one of the inspiring Shiurim and activities that Rabbi Torczyner will be leading during his upcoming visit to the city.

*I'm excited about coming back to Toronto for the first time in more than a year, to see my friends in Thornhill as well as Bathurst/Lawrence and learn Torah together again!

On Shabbat at BAYT we'll talk about one of the most pressing issues facing the Jewish world - embracing and working with Jews who don't fit the standard mold in our communities, and figuring out how and when to encourage that non-conformity.

On Sunday morning at Shaarei Shomayim we'll discuss the major educational challenges we need to confront, and practical steps we can take to help.

These topics need much more time than we can give them in a weekend, but I hope that together we will produce some food for thought.*

On Shabbat, June 6–7, Rabbi Torczyner will be the guest of the BAYT, where he will deliver a number of thought-provoking shiurim throughout Shabbat.

On Sunday, June 8, Rabbi Torczyner will be the guest at Shaarei Shomayim, where he will give a shiur accompanied by breakfast following Tefilat Shacharit

Come celebrate with us the special day for Yerushalayim!

This coming Monday, the 28th of Iyar (May 26), marks the 58th Yom Yerushalayim.

We will celebrate with a special edition of Toronto Torah – a collection of Torah insights highlighting the unique holiness of Yerushalayim, a joint Shabbaton with the Shaarei Shomayim community, and a Tefillah Chagigit on Sunday evening.

We were delighted to host two fascinating and inspiring speakers this past week.

Last week, we welcomed Rabbi Yoni Rosensweig, who enriched our knowledge and raised awareness about the important topic of mental health and Halacha.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of hosting Rabbi Doron Podlashuk and hearing his thought-provoking shiur about IVF for a deceased soldier.

In the coming weeks, we will continue with a rich program in the fields of business ethics and medical ethics, as well as various Shabbatonim taking place around the city.
