Ramesses II also known as Ramesses the Great, was the third pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty of Egypt. He is often regarded as the most powerful pharaoh.

The preservation of Pharaoh’s body is mentioned in the Quran. According to the Quran, Pharaoh’s body was preserved as a warning to those who opposed the signs and warning of Allah the almighty and His apostles.

According to scholars, the Pharaoh referred to in the Quran is Ramses II, who ruled Egypt during the 13th century BCE and was contemporary with Musa (peace be upon him).
