Hello, awesome Beach community! I've officially hung up my coat, found the best spot for my tea, and settled in as the new Priest-in-Charge at St. Aidan's in the Beach Anglican Church.

I am bringing a heart full of joy, a listening ear, and a deep excitement to get to know all of you. Whether you're a lifelong local, a Sunday regular, or just happened to be strolling by the water, I would be absolutely delighted to cross paths.

Come on by and say hello this Sunday! The doors are open, the welcome is warm, and there's a seat waiting just for you.

Please pray for Grace and all ordinands as they begin their curacies this week.

A warm welcome to The Reverend Canon Julie Burn, who will become a part of St. Aidan’s on May 1, 2026. The Rev. Canon Julie Burn is currently the Incumbent at Church of the Resurrection in East Toronto.

After completing her undergraduate studies, she served for two years with Volunteers in Mission in Latin America with the support of her home parish of Church of the Redeemer. She served her curacy at Church of St Bride in Clarkson and subsequently was priest at Church of the Resurrection for nearly 12 years. Currently, she serves as the Regional Dean for Toronto East and is a member of the Postulant Committee, supporting the discernment and formation of candidates for ordained ministry. Julie earned degrees from Huron College at Western University, the University of Cambridge, and Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto.

Julie and her husband Will have two sons currently attending university. They enjoy cooking together and sharing meals with friends and family.

Julie said she felt a calling to be a part of St. Aidan’s beautiful and joyful community. We looking forward to warmly welcoming her as our Priest-in-Charge.

Composed in less than a week in early March 1815, Schubert’s Mass No. 5 in G Major is the best known of his missae breves—short Mass settings marked by clarity and restraint.

Rather than dramatic virtuosity, Schubert leans toward a gentle, prayerful mood, with modest solo passages and a strong sense of choral unity. It is music that feels sincere, grounded, and deeply human.

This sense of intimacy makes it a perfect centrepiece for Songs of Spirit and Nature.
