On October 21st, 2012, Kateri Tekakwitha became the first Indigenous North American canonized by the Catholic Church — and we marked that anniversary in a special way. Fr. Bill May, CSB gathered with staff and students to honour St. Kateri's legacy, and St. Michael's College School food service team prepared Three Sisters Soup, a traditional Haudenosaunee dish, for the community. ✝️

Small gestures like these go a long way in keeping history, culture, and faith alive together. Grateful to have shared this moment at SMCS. 💙

Twenty-nine years. What a journey, Fr. Patrick. 🙏

Nearly three decades of showing up, day after day, as a teacher, principal, mentor, and priest for generations of Shamrocks at Catholic Central High School. His 29 years of commitment to Catholic education and to the Basilian Fathers has never wavered, and that is something worth celebrating.

A trip down memory lane. 🤍❤️🤍❤️🤍❤️

Fr. Murphy was joined by Fr. Michael Earthman '92 and Deacon Theodore Birkofer '16 for the annual St. Thomas High School Founders Day Mass celebration. Recalling a story of fellow Eagles dressing campus statues in Hawaiian shirts as a student prank, Deacon Birkofer had everyone smiling and reflecting on the deeper meaning of symbols that go deeper than words and hold a special place in our hearts and faith.✝️

What an evening to remember! 🎉

We gathered at St. Anne Catholic Community to celebrate a truly remarkable milestone — Bishop Ricardo Ramirez, CSB marked his 90th Birthday, his 60th Anniversary of Priestly Ordination, and his 45th Anniversary of Episcopal Ordination all in one beautiful celebration. 🙏✝️

It was the kind of evening that reminds us how much there is to be grateful for. Bishop Ramirez has given so much to the Church, his community and to our Basilian family over the decades, and it was a true joy to celebrate him. 🥳 🥳 🥳

So happy to be part of this special morning! ✝️

Newly ordained Fr. David Basi, CSB celebrated the Opening School Mass at Detroit Cristo Rey High School — a school sponsored by the Basilian Fathers and the IHM Sisters. Celebrated on the Feast of St. Augustine, students and staff gathered together in faith to kick off the new school year the right way. Moments like these remind us why we show up every day. 🙏

Victorin Marijon (1851–1931, ordained 1874) 🇫🇷⛪ A defining figure in Basilian history, he guided the Congregation through some of its most challenging years—as Provincial in North America, Superior General, and later leader of the renewed French Basilians. Though his tenure was marked by difficult debates over the future of the Congregation, his deep faith, devotion to religious life, and determination helped preserve and rebuild the Basilian mission in France for generations to come 🙏✨
