This is, on its face, a very good thing, but this declaration fails to live up to its claim to affirm and support the ”infinite dignity” of all people. Specifically, the document misunderstands and misrepresents both the scholarly and scientific work in the areas of sexuality and gender.

All God's children have infinite dignity, including every member of the 2SLGBTQI+ community. As such , AIM continues to cultivate a community who 'provides equal access to worship, opportunities, and resources within the Church for 2SLGBTQI+ faithful' especially when they feel excluded or marginalized.

During the Congresso of 15 March 2019, the then-Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith decided to commence “the drafting of a text highlighting the indispensable nature of the dignity of the human person in Christian anthropology and illustrating the significance and beneficial implications .....
