Join and help IREC Trinity fundraising for Food Banks Canada!
4 million Canadians are food insecure and struggle to put enough food on the table. Every day they face tough decisions about how to make ends meet.

Amidst Covid-19, access for basic needs is even harder for vulnerable populations, such as the elderly, homeless and low income families. More over, with many loss of employments and financial instabilities due to massive layoffs more people are expected to rely for help from food banks to put food on the table.
For the past few years, IREC Trinity’s congregation have been showing great support by collecting donations in forms of non-perishable items for the food drive program. Due to the urgent need for donations and the unique circumstance where we cannot congregate physically, we will not be collecting items for the food drive, instead we will be fundraising for Food Banks Canada in a form of monetary donations.
“Food Banks Canada is a national charitable organization dedicated to helping Canadians living with food insecurity. We support a network of Provincial Associations, affiliate food banks, and food agencies that work at the community level to relieve hunger”(source: Food Banks Canada Website). Food Banks Canada has made a special appeal to raise $150 million to continue their critical work, feeding the hunger.
If we; as Christians are called to love our neighbours as ourselves, there is never a truer time to attest to that than now. Starting from today, Saturday April 4th to Thursday April 30th, we are hoping to raise $2500 collectively as a congregation to help Food Banks Canada.
Let us be a channel of blessings to those in need and lend a helping hand if you can. During this difficult time let us also remember to pray for the less fortunate and donate when able.
The money raised will automatically be paid to Food Banks Canada by Facebook.
