We are so excited to welcome YOU to NATI-RETI this August!

Here’s a teaser of the daily schedule to give you a glimpse of what’s ahead. Every day will be full of study, reflection, rest, and community. Across two weeks, you will hear from remarkable panelists, learn alongside expert scholars in facilitated study sessions, and engage a rich, layered curriculum. And beyond the “typical” daily rhythm, you will take part in four full immersive visits, two in the US and two in Canada, like field trips where learning happens through experience, outside the classroom.

Registration is open for one more month!

📢Are you an advanced theological student or a researcher-scholar practitioner between the ages of 21 and 35? Are you interested in an immersive cross border learning experience? Apply now at the link in our bio! Applications due by April 15th.

📚NATI-RETI 2026 is a fully immersive residential theological learning program designed as a pilgrimage across borders — bringing together emerging Christian leaders from the United States and Canada for deep theological reflection and spiritual fellowship. This new ecumenical event is hosted by the Canadian Council of Churches and the National Council of Churches with the support of the World Council of Churches.

Together we will ask, “Where now for Visible Justice”? This question serves as the common thread weaving together every plenary, study group, study visit, and intercultural contextual immersion. It challenges North American churches to move beyond abstract affirmations and confront the tangible requirements of the Gospel in their specific contexts. Whether discussing climate, race, politics, economics, or solidarity with indigenous communities, the question of justice—and the church’s role in embodying it—will intersect with all theological and ecumenical reflections. Canadian churches and global church bodies are releasing statements on the war on Iran and the wider conflict in the Middle East. We are reminded of the newspaper advertisement from 30+ Christian and ecumenical communities released in 2003 for the people of Iraq: “… war will cause massive human suffering, and will not bring peace”. Click on the links to each statement to read more. Full resource at the link in our bio.
