Rev. Jeffrey is at CBC Radio for an interview at 7:10 on Metro Morning to talk about the experience of being here in Canada while a member of our congregation was on the flotillas to Gaza and taken in international waters.

Tomorrow evening we will gather at 454 College Street, College Street United Church, at 6:30 pm to raise our voices in action. Please if you are able to join us, do so. In these times, we find ourselves longing to be present, in whatever way we can, to amplify the Palestinian people’s calls to engage in hearing their voices. We find ourselves living in hope and fear as the Palestinian people work towards their liberation. As we continue to await for more information, we offer our love, care, and support for Norrad Bouzide.

Yesterday, our beloved member Norrad Bouzide was taken from international waters. Norrad is a member of the Canadian Boat to Gaza, part of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition. Norrad and others were sailing in the hopes of the breaking the blockade. Today, we asking people we are connected with to hold Norrad in your prayers. Hold Norrad’s family and community in your prayers. If you can, please reach out to your local Member of Parliament and Norrad’s member, Danielle Martin ([email protected]), and the Prime Minister ([email protected]) to assist in bringing Norrad home safely.

On Thursday, May 21st beginning at 6:30 pm we will be hosting, at College Street UC, a community gathering in support of Norrad. If you can, please join us.
