This Sunday, Trinity Sunday, we celebrate our 65th anniversary and give thanks for Holy Trinity, Guildwood: for all who have worshipped, served, prayed, hoped, laughed, wept, and loved in this community over the years.
On Trinity Sunday, we are drawn into the mystery of God as a dynamic circle of love: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, eternally giving and receiving, creating and renewing, inviting you, me, and all of us into the dance of God’s love
As a beautiful symbol of that dance, we are delighted that Abigail Eniola Omopariola will offer a beautiful interpretive dance to “Oceans (Spirit Lead Me).”
At the root of so much suffering in our world are broken relationships. The Trinity is one of our deepest Christian symbols of loving relationship: unity without uniformity, diversity without division, community held together in love. Diversity is not a problem to be solved, but a gift to be received. We are all God’s children. Black, white, brown; young and old; male and female; each one of us is made in God’s image, made in love, according to God’s likeness.
As we celebrate 65 years of ministry, may God bless us in our mission as we dream, pray, and work with Jesus for a loving, equitable, and peaceful world.
