Dear Incarnation family,
As you all know, Sharon Philip retired at the end of this year. After an extensive search for qualified candidates, we are happy to announce that we have hired Carolyn Virgo, as our new office administrator. She comes to us with a background in office administration in several different fields of work, including church administration. We, your management team are excited to have her as part of our team and look forward to working together with her to serve you and our community.
As with any transition, there are always going to be a variety of challenges as we negotiate new tasks, and have things we'd never noticed before, or presumptions we all come with, raised by said transition. So I ask that you exercise the fruits of the Holy Spirit in demonstrating your life in Jesus Christ: patience, kindness, gentleness, charity (love), self control, endurance and perseverance. These are not optional ways of engaging one another as Christians. They are the very calling and expectation God has for every one of us in working with one another as his Church.
So it is with all of this in mind that I want to introduce you to Carolyn, and give thanks to God for her self offering in ministry. Below my signature is her own brief profile. Please keep her in your prayers as she takes on this new ministry role in our Church.
Yours in Christ,
Leigh+
"Coming from a large family the idea of sharing and being organized was as much a blessing as a gift. To this day we all instinctively ask, “What can I do?” as soon as we walk in the door.
I try to anticipate the needs of others in both my personal and professional life. I love lists and checking items off is like therapy to me. Rounding out the therapy list would be chocolate, movies, my Spotify playlist, Harry Potter, Ramius my Huskador, my husband, daughters, and extended family - but not in necessarily that order.
The past 2 years have been a time of introspection for many of us. We began to question what is really important? Simplifying our lives and protecting our health may end up being a positive side effect of Covid-19. Forced to stay away from our families and friends, forbidden from gathering in person to celebrate milestones, holidays, even visit a family member in hospital. These have become my priorities, my blessings, and my gifts."
