Mission Statement
Aim of this Movement is to offer a platform to all Syro-Malabar youth for holistic liberation, in order to uphold Christian values and bear witness to Jesus Christ. They should relentlessly strive for the welfare of others while rooted in the faith and glorious tradition of the Syro-

Malabar Church. SMYM Canada shall be responsible for coordinating all the youth activities as deemed necessary by the Syro-Malabar Exarchate/ Diocese of Canada. Operational Guidelines (Principles of the Youth Movement)
(a) To Know: To know the Church and its teaching through constant prayer and study, and equip the youth to share their God experience with others;
(b) To Share: To share one’s talents for the revival of society through agile activities based on the Gospel values;
(c) To Live: To live a life of learning and sharing based on faith and righteousness for the enhancement of society and Church. (i) Despite stretching across all over Canada, we are united through a common faith, heritage and future vision. These Principles apply both within and between all local youth groups, different ministries, Regional teams, National team, and the hierarchy in union with the Magisterium of the Church. Catechesis Student Council, youth associates & young professionals have organized a series of workshops for grades 4-8 & grades 9-12! Please check the poster for the schedule details.

Prayer to St. John Paul II

Oh, St. John Paul, from the window of heaven, grant us your blessing! Bless the Church that you loved and served and guided, courageously leading her along the paths of the world in order to bring Jesus to everyone and everyone to Jesus. Bless the young, who were your great passion. Help them dream again, help them look up to the heavens again to find the light that illuminates the paths of life here on earth.

May you bless each and every family! You warned of Satan’s assault against this precious and indispensable divine spark that God lit on earth. St. John Paul, with your prayer, may you protect the family and every life that blossoms from the family.

Pray for the whole world, which is still marked by tensions, wars and injustice. You opposed war by invoking dialogue and planting the seeds of love: pray for us so that we may be tireless sowers of peace.

Oh St. John Paul, from heaven’s window, where we see you beside Mary, send God’s blessing down upon us all. Amen.
