Happy Corpus Christi! Since the 13th century, Christians have celebrated Christ’s gift of the Eucharist on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday. In this joyful celebration, we recall Christ’s promise to “be with us always, to the end of the age.”

Today we remember that he fulfills this promise in the sacraments, where he is “made known to us in the breaking of the bread.”

Bonne Fête-Dieu !

Today is Corpus Christi.

O God, who in a wonderful sacrament hast left unto us a memorial of thy passion: Grant us so to reverence the holy mysteries of thy Body and Blood, that we may ever know within ourselves the fruit of thy redemption; who livest and reignest with the Father in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.

Chanting the QUICUMQUE VULT (Creed of S. Athanasius) in procession on

Now the Catholic Faith is this, that we worship one God in Trinity, and the Trinity in Unity;

Neither confusing the Persons, nor dividing the Substance.

For there is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, another of the Holy Ghost

Dearly beloved, on Sunday, the 24th of May I intend, through God's assistance, to celebrate the Lord's Supper; and to administer to all such as shall be devoutly disposed the most comfortable Sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ; to be by them received in remembrance of his meritorious Cross and Passion, whereby alone we obtain remission of our sins, and are made partakers of the kingdom of heaven...
