In partnership with Crieff Hills Retreat Centre

Reimagining Our Relationship with the Land
In a time of ecological crisis, how do we move beyond despair toward a grounded, faithful response? Join us for Earthbound, a transformative weekend retreat dedicated to the intersection of faith, climate justice, and sustainable living.

We are honoured to welcome Dr. Grace Ji-Sun Kim, renowned theologian and author, as our keynote speaker. Drawing from her latest work, Earthbound, Dr. Kim will lead us in exploring eco-theology—inviting us to reconsider our spiritual connection to the planet and our collective responsibility to advocate for a more just and resilient world.

The Weekend Experience
This retreat is designed to be more than a lecture series; it is an immersive “learning lab.” Over the course of the weekend, we will bridge the gap between theory and practice through:

Active Learning at Crieff Hills Farm: Experience the land as a classroom. We will use our onsite organic farming initiatives as a hands-on laboratory to discuss ecological restoration and sustainable food systems.

Theological Discussion: Engage in deep-dive sessions on how eco-theology provides a framework for modern climate activism and spiritual groundedness.

Connection with Nature: Dedicated time is woven into the schedule for quiet reflection, forest walks, and mindful presence within the natural beauty of the Crieff Hills acreage.

Community Building: Gather with a like-minded community of seekers, activists, and neighbours to share stories, challenges, and hope for the future.

Farm-to-Table Hospitality
Nourishment is a central part of the Earthbound experience. All guests will enjoy full meal service prepared by our farm-to-table kitchen. Each menu is thoughtfully crafted using seasonal ingredients, many of which are grown right here on our farm, embodying the very principles of sustainability we will explore together.

Come prepared to listen, learn, and dig your hands into the soil as we seek a path forward together.

With FIFA World Cup 26™ matches coming to Toronto this June, Knox College, Toronto is reviving a remarkable piece of Canadian church and soccer history.

Join us on Sunday, June 14 at 3:00 PM for a special Soccer Sunday service at Knox College Chapel in Toronto, a gathering celebrating community, reflection, and the global game that connects people across cultures and nations.

This tradition dates back to 1919, when Rev. John Linton led a “Soccer Sunday - working towards the goal” service that filled the church and captured public attention. Knox College itself also holds a unique place in Canadian soccer history, with its 1878 team recognized as the first Canadian Soccer Champions.

We are especially excited to share that Rev. John Borthwick, Director of Ministry Forum, will be preaching for this special service.

More than a century later, as Toronto welcomes the world through soccer, this special service offers a space to celebrate teamwork, joy, discipline, and our shared humanity.

You do not need to be religious to attend. Come as you are, wear your team colours, bring your friends, family, or teammates, and be part of this unique moment connecting sport, history, and community!

Since the end of April, we’ve been meeting with churches that applied to Ministry Forum’s initiative, reviewing applications, conducting follow-up conversations, and asking where we felt we could most meaningfully come alongside congregations in this next season.

We’re happy to announce that the following churches will take part in the first round of the Virtual Front Porch initiative…
