After 25+ years, our beloved Music Director, Scott Kearns is retiring. This Sunday, September 13th, will be his last Sunday leading music with us. 🎶

In addition to providing meaningful music, Scott has helped shape West Hill in countless way, including offering pastoral care to those in need, sharing his wisdom through Sunday talks, and being instrumental in shaping the values our community is built upon.

This Sunday Scott will be sharing the perspective, so it's a special chance to hear from him one more time. We'd love to see you there to celebrate his incredible legacy and send him off with the joy and gratitude he deserves!

THE ART OF COMMUNITY
Starting this Sunday, September 6th, West Hill United is launching an eight-week Sunday series and book study exploring the elements and practices that can make our community deeper and stronger. We’re excited to be joined by Spiritual Seekers United in Community (SSUC) for the weekly book study.

The series is based on Charles Vogl’s, "The Art of Community: 7 Principles for Belonging", which draws on thousands of years of wisdom to explore the elements that shape meaningful community — belonging, boundaries, rituals, shared stories, symbols, spaces, and pathways into deeper participation. We’ll be engaging these elements not just as ideas, but as an invitation to pursue deeper and stronger community together.

This Sunday, we begin with an introduction to the series. Also, the Sunday talks are designed to stand on their own, so no reading required!

The companion book study meets on Thursdays, starting September 10 at 3 PM ET. Links to join are below.

Starting September 6th, we're launching a new eight-week series and book study called The Art of Community — exploring the elements that make community truly thrive. Whether you've been part of something like this before or you're looking for it for the first time, this is a great place to start.

Sundays, in-person and online, at 10:30 AM ET, we will share in music, experiences and discussion, and then on Thursdays, starting September 10th, the discussion will continue with a book study.
