Yesterday, we had the joy of hearing from Leor and Lesly, our missionary family serving in Bangladesh.

Leor, who leads the Bangladesh Baptist Church Fellowship, shared with more than 50 of us about how God is at work in Bangladesh, strengthening His church, raising up local missionaries, and building faith from one generation to the next.

What a gift to be reminded that God’s kingdom is growing far beyond what we see each week, and that we have the privilege of joining in this work through prayer.

Please continue to pray with us for the local missionaries serving in Bangladesh to be encouraged in their calling, for the country of Bangladesh as a whole, and for the second generation of Christians growing up in Christian homes, that their faith would be deep, joyful, and their own.

“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!” (Psalm 96:3)

Title: A Prayer of Lament
Text: Psalm 42-43
Big Idea: God meets us in our grief

Outline:
1) Pour out your emotions to God. (ps.42:1-3, 9; ps.43:1-2)
Question to consider: What am I feeling right now that I need to honestly bring into God’s presence instead of hiding or suppressing it?

2) Seek God’s presence and worship him. (ps.42:4-5; ps.43:3-4)
Question to consider: How can I intentionally seek God today, even if I do not feel close to Him right now?

3) Remember God’s faithfulness. (ps.42:8; ps.43:3-4)
Question to consider: Where have I seen God’s steadfast love and faithfulness in my life, even in difficult seasons?

4) Preach hope in God to your soul (ps.42:5,11; ps.43:5)
Question to consider: What truth about God do I need to speak to myself today so that despair does not have the final word?

What a beautiful evening of worship at A Night of Praise!

Last night, we gathered to praise God for His goodness, His faithfulness, and all that He has done in our lives. It was an incredible evening of music, worship, and encouragement as our hearts were lifted together before the Lord.

Thanks to our choir and orchestra for leading us so beautifully, to our tech team and volunteers who helped make the evening possible, and to each of you who joined us in lifting our voices in worship!

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:13)

As we look ahead, this night of praise also ushers us into our new sermon series, Summer in the Psalms: a season of turning our hearts toward the God who is worthy of all our worship.
